KPN stops I-mode in Germany -
KPN subsidiary E-Plus will stop using I-mode next week and expects that mobile phone technology will be extinct in 5 years. According to E-Plus boss Thorsten Dirks, its business model will be very similar to that of ADSL and cable companies: flat fee data connections.
