NXP Semiconductors and TSMC-backed Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) plan to form a joint venture to build and operate a manufacturing base in Singapore, a move that has seen many industry players hit hard by supply chain woes in recent years. Latest diversification measures taken. If all goes well with regulatory approvals, the VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing joint venture aims to break ground in the second half of this year and enter production in 2027.
