The first in the new product range is Methanol from SABIC's Chemicals division. . The new product range of methanol products has a lower carbon content than the existing product range, while maintaining the same high-quality product specifications. The reason for low carbon emissions is that CO2, a production by-product, is captured in an advanced process (carbon capture and utilization – CCU), making it a valuable carbon source needed for methanol production.
